rip off
THIS makes me sick to my stomach
the wonderfully talented lauren nassef was recently informed that a UK college graduate, grant winning, "working artist" Samantha Beeston has been ripping off her work, tracing drawings, and claming them as her own. It is a shame that integrity is so often over looked in the age of the internet, when someone elses hard work and talent can be exploited by those lacking inspiring and creative thought. why bother putting yourself in that position in the first place? ugh.
well hey, i hope miss nassef gets a lot of good press from this. i've been following her work for a while now and her drawing a day alone proves that she should get tons of attention.

good press is good press
my good friend Amanda Vaughn-Redmon shared some of her favorite things in Philadelphia in the Aug/Sept issue of ReadyMade Magazine in which she name checked myself and the the compound warehaus, as well as featuring my "a light in the window is a crack in the sky" drawings. i'm pretty jazzed.
send Amanda some love by purchasing something from her Etsy shop, then go out and buy a copy of ReadyMade for prosperity sake.
